Wordpress Blog for Newbies
If you are new to blogs like I was a few months ago, and you want to learn how to set up blogs, then this is for you. Even if you don’t know now what a blog is you can have one on line in just a few days with the information.
The first thing you will need to do is to decide what your blog is going to be about. If don’t have an idea at the present time, you can go to some ezines and get some ideas. You can go to EzineArticles.com, GoArticles.com and many others to start your motor on what you want to write about. One of the easiest ways is to start with what you know, business, hobbies, or anything you are attracted to. Once you have your subject in mind, then it’s time to register a Domain Name. There are hundreds of Domain Name sellers and you can choose any one you want. I will let you know the one I use and the reason why. I use 1&1 domain and my reasons are, as of this writing, the cost of the Domain Name is $6.99 for the year and they will do Private Registration for free. Many others charge $9.00 or more for Private Registration. You want to register privately because if anyone does a “Who Is” search to find out who owns the site, your name will not show up. Not a big deal but you might want to consider it. Many people also use Go Daddy which has some really excellent values.
After you have your Domain Name then you will need to get Web Hosting. Again you can choose from dozens of web hosting companies. I selected Host Gator because they will host all my sites, whether it’s one or a hundred for the same low price. Again, as of this writing, the cost is $7.95 per month with the first month for just 1 cent. Just enter “HGCOUPONBLOG” coupon on your purchase. Host Gator also has 24/7 tech support and they helped me a tremendous amount when I was setting up my blogs. They even gave me advice on questions that was not part of their responsibility.
Once you have your Domain Name and Web Hosting, then it’s time to set up your blog. The easy way to set up your blog is to order a video course which will allow you to easily set up your real Wordpress Blog even if you have no technical skills.
